The Sussex County Office of Geographic Information Systems (SCOGIS) is within the Department of Central and Shared Services which provides mapping and GIS services to meet the business needs of county divisions, constitutional offices, local government and not-for-profit organizations within Sussex County. This includes providing support and maintenance in the areas of data conversion, cartography, computer graphics and visualization, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), database design and software development.

The GIS office is responsible for the design and maintenance of the county's GIS which is used to generate the various geospatial datasets such as parcels, roads, zoning, and district boundaries just to name a few.
